Word Ladder is a clue-solving word puzzle that turns spelling into a climb. Every row of the board hides a word with its own clue — "Rocky home for a bear", "Sound an owl makes" — so first you work out each answer and type it in. Then comes the twist: the words are jumbled, and you drag the rows into a ladder where each word changes just one letter from the word above it, like COLD → CORD → WORD. Get the order right and the locked top and bottom rows open, giving you two final clues to finish the climb. The puzzle builds vocabulary, spelling and careful letter-by-letter thinking, and the one-letter rule often helps crack a tricky clue. Start with three-letter words on Easy, step up to four letters on Medium, stretch to five-letter words on Hard, or try the four-letter Daily ladder everyone shares. Great for word lovers aged 8 and up.
