Privacy Policy

Effective date: 13 June 2026

SkillQuest ("we", "us") operates skillquestgame.com, a free browser-based educational game portal for kids, families, and schools. This page explains what information the site handles and how.

The short version

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information to let you play. All games run directly in your browser with no registration.

Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics, which collects anonymous usage data — such as pages visited, time on site, approximate region, browser, and device type — using cookies and similar identifiers. We use this only to understand which games people enjoy and to improve the site. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/privacy, and opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Feedback form. If you choose to send us feedback, the form is processed by Formspree. Anything you type (including your email address, if you provide one) is sent to us so we can read and respond. Please don't include personal details you'd rather not share — and kids should ask a parent or teacher before sending feedback.

Data saved on your device

Some features store small amounts of data in your browser's local storage so the site remembers you between visits — for example your favorite games, best scores, and dismissed tips. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and you can erase it anytime by clearing your browser's site data.

Children's privacy

SkillQuest is designed to be safe for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. There are no accounts, chat features, or public profiles. If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example through the feedback form), contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party services

To work properly, the site loads some content from third-party servers — for example flag images (flagcdn.com) and map data (for the Geography game). Like any web request, those servers technically receive your IP address when content loads. The WhatsApp contact button opens WhatsApp, which is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy. We may add or change third-party services over time; this policy will be updated to reflect any changes.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The effective date at the top always reflects the latest version. Significant changes will be visible on this page.
