2048 is the addictive sliding-tile puzzle. Swipe or drag to slide every numbered tile in one direction; when two matching tiles collide they merge into one of double the value. Keep combining — 2 and 2 make 4, 4 and 4 make 8 — and try to build a 2048 tile before the board fills up. Pick a 4×4, 5×5, or 6×6 board to make each game shorter or more forgiving, and your best score is saved between sessions. It works with touch swipes or keyboard arrows and needs no sign-up. Made for ages 8 and up, it's a deceptively deep test of planning and number sense that's hard to put down.
